A veteran musician (and native Vermonter) of the New England music scene, Dan can be found performing at venues throughout the region.   A long-time teacher of English, history, and music to refugees, newcomers, and high schoolers in the public and residential school settings, for 20 years he's also provided instrumental  (piano, guitar, bass, accordion) lessons to students of all ages and abilities in the Boston and Worcester areas. He continues to remain an active solo performer, recording artist, accompanist,  and band member of ensembles in all genres (Niki Luparelli, Ric Porter, Highway Kind, Stomp n' Holler, Skampaphrodites, The Andersons among many others).  A multi instrumentalist, Daniel can currently be found at a solo show squeezing, strumming and tickling punk rock, international folk songs, boogie woogie, ragtime, klezmer, and minimalist melodies from his accordion, piano and guitars at diverse venues around New England and beyond, or as a duo with his indie pop singing daughter, Imogene. Three times nominated for the Worcester Music Awards and recipient of numerous cultural council, academic, educational and municipal grants, Daniel brings world music and folk programs for all ages throughout New England.  He's currently Director of Chorus and piano/guitar instructor at South High Community School in Worcester where he lives with his wife and three kids.  No dog (yet).  Contact stomptheguru@gmail.com to book.

Songs inspired by Worcester, Massachusetts. The music is influenced by the immigrant diasporas of Eastern Europe, Central Asia, the Levant, East and West Africa present in our Worcester community. The album was recorded at the Prior Center for the Performing Arts, College of the Holy Cross, 7/15-19 2024. Thanks to Brian Saia for engineering, mixing and mastering the recording and the Worcester Cultural Coalition for supporting my residency here.
